Dammit Boy Entertainment is pleased to announce the addition of our brand new “Beat Store”. We understand our clients need for quality instrumentals and the financial burden that comes with recording music. So, we have created a solution for artist’s interested in Dammit Boy instrumentals who are not ready to make the financial commitment to hire Dammit Boy to exclusively produce their music. Our new beat store is filled with Dammit Boy instrumentals that can be leased non-exclusively for as low as $19.99 and be purchased exclusively for as little as $250. Beats are listed in 2 categories; (1) instrumentals, (2) instrumentals with hooks. Some of our instrumentals feature hooks by David Ray, Jon Conner and Danny Rich and we will look to continue to provide this option as we move forward. We will be adding brand new beats weekly to keep our stock fresh, so be sure to check back frequently to be the first artist in your area to record to these Dammit Boy Bangers.
What is the difference between buying a beat on the website and hiring Dammit Boy to produce my song?
Buying an instrumental from us is not the same as being produced by Dammit Boy Entertainment in the studio. In the beat store we are simply providing quality beats for artists to record their own music too. Hiring Dammit Boy Entertainment to produce your music in the studio is an entirely different experience. When you work with us in the studio, we create your song exclusively for you and oversee the entire process. From the making of the track, to the songwriting, to the recording process, to the mix and mastering phase, Dammit Boy Entertainment is there guiding you and your song(s). The common misconception is producing is making the beat.. That is only part of the process of production. Dammit Boy Entertainment has over 50 years of combined experience in the art of producing music that cannot be tapped into by simply buying an instrumental.
What can I do with the instrumentals I get from the Dammit Boy Beat Store?
You will receive an encoded MP3 file of the untagged song. The song file will be delivered digitally. Leasing rights allow you to use the beat (or song) for ONE commercial recording or broadcast. This recording can then be distributed at your price for up to 2,000 copies. Selling more than 2,000 copies means you must acquire a new lease or exclusive rights. You may also use the beat for non-profit promotional use or demos. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). You will receive a contract in the mail granting you non-exclusive rights to the beat. In the event that someone buys exclusive rights to the beat you have leased, your rights shall stand and the beat is still yours to use. You may also acquire new leasing rights if you sell more than 2,000 copies since your contract predates exclusive sale. The seller will not receive a royalty from the sale of records or downloads. You must however give full credit to the seller (artist and/or producer name) on all commercial recordings and 50% of any publishing royalties generated from leased track. Upon purchasing leasing rights, the seller still owns the beat(s) and the seller is able to resell the beat(s) to any other party until exclusive rights have been purchased.
You will receive a MP3 file of the beat (or song), untagged (free of soundmarks) and/or a copy of the raw WAV file. The song file can be delivered digitally. Exclusive rights grant you unlimited commercial recordings and broadcasts. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). You will receive a contract in an email granting you exclusive rights to the beat. You own the recording as a “work made for hire”. The original seller may no longer lease or sell the beat/song, except for prior leasing rights holders and his/her own promotional page (no downloads there). The seller will not receive a royalty from the sale of records or downloads. You must however give full credit to the seller (artist and/or producer name) on all commercial recordings and seller will retain 50% of any publishing royalties generated from the track.
